Christina Hendricks drinks egg-white gimlets, therefore so do I

Like a decent chunk of America, I am an ardent fan of Mad Men. Though I’ve missed on the season premiere because I was at the bar, I stilled channeled my girl Joan Holloway via a cocktail. Christina Hendricks, who plays the lovely redhead, said in a recent magazine interview that lately she’s sipping on gimlets with a touch of egg-white for frothiness. Here’s a the recipe I used
Holloway Gimlet
1/2 of an egg white
1 oz lime juice
3/4 oz simple syrup
2 oz gin
Dry shake to whip egg white, add ice and shake again. Strain into chilled glass.
I also added a dash of angostura bitters in the foam.
